Subject: Texas
I really enjoyed catching this show on Sirius yesterday. I was particularly pleased when I realized that most of the songs in the first set mention either Texas or a town in Texas. Some, according to the Annotated..., mention towns that aren't in Texas but have identically named towns in the Lone Star State. A nice, fun theme that complements energetic and exploratory playing. Jerry really blows some brain cells with his phrasing throughout this show.

With Charlie Miller shows the sound just explodes out the speakers with great stereo sound and I swear you can hear every instrument distinctly. I love the sound of this show, and its a great performance to boot.

Subject: Great show, great transfer, typical high 77' energy
The real highlight is the Playin' pre-drums. Very primal with plenty of interaction between Bob and Jerry.

Thanks for this transfer.

Get it before they clump it with all the other transfers under the Road Trips release block!

Subject: Very nice show... small problem
Lots of good energy. Vintage 77.

Small problem though: There's a skip in the middle of Good Lovin' -- right in the middel of "Doctor... Doc-tor!"

Subject: no download
bugs me when all renderings of a show are inaccesible as downloads. really good 'music never stopped' here. would love to put it on a mixed disc i'm making for a friend who loved the shakedown era. she would totally dig it.

i don't mind the streaming only soundboards, i get it. but NOTHING available for download from this show? this is what makes people innovate ways to pirate the streaming-only stuff. bummer.
